Let the pain expand us
We all have some sort of pain in our life. The mental anguish— the guilt, the unresolved trauma, the unreasonable fear that we name them as pain in our life.
How to get rid of pain? Pain is always unwelcome by us. We try to move away from pain. The easy option popping antidepressants, but is it safe? It can give us temporary relief, but in the long run, it can be very harmful if we get addicted to it.
So what is the safe option? Once we accept the pain,tolerate the distress, welcome it and smile at the pain . When we develope compassion for pain, it will heal with time. But if we push away the pain, it will hard to go away, it becomes like a scab. So let’s be gentle with the pain, treat the pain with the tender love and care.
Trust the healing nature of time, let the time heal the pain. As time passes, the degree of pain subsides, little by little the pain will be less tolerable. So let’s smile at our pain, and pain will heal at the cost of expanding us, makes us calmer and stronger over time. So let’s say once again “let the pain expand us”.
